The method of classification of landscape ecological vulnerability and development plan feasibility is advantageous when complex traffic projects, located in sensitive natural and human health conditions, are dealt with. The case study of traffic connection of the Jeseníky mountains region to central Moravia was based on the detail survey of polygon of approximately 750 km2, with the demand for assessment of multi-modal transport conception of the entire polygon, i.e. to compare the separate modes of the transport connection of both of towns and to assess the relations between the road and railway (or combined) transport. The evaluation of natural aspects (geology, soils, forests, zoology and botany) and human health condition (atmosphere, noise) was completed, together with sociological survey of public opinion about the proposed variants. After the completion of complex multi-year surveys and searching for optimum variants, it was recommended that a new road be built in the valleys of the Desná and the Bělá rivers and a tunnel be dug in the southern variant on the condition, that the Desná railway line is extended as far as the valley of the Bělá with the future prospect of its extension as far as the town of Jeseník.
