Values for the mean structural diversity of the birds foraging sites were closely related to the structural diversity of the vegetation in original habitats. Differences in these values were high in secondary habitats. In original habitats, differences in percentage distribution between the species of lowest and highest relative abundance, and the mean differences in structural diversity of the foraging sites within guilds were high; in secondary habitats these values were reversed. The bird community of the urban park most closely resembled that of the original habitats.
